You want to start with rapé. You look at the collection and see fifteen varieties. Which one is right for you? You'll only know when you feel it.

That's what this rapé sample set is for. Four varieties, 2 grams each. Enough to get to know them slowly, one by one. Then you'll know which bottle you want.

The four varieties in Four Rapéh's increase in strength from 3 to 5 out of 7. You start gently and build up. Rosa, Tsunu and Murici are all good starting points, each with its own character. Cacau sits right in between.

What's in this rapé sample set?

Rosa – strength 3 out of 7

With dried rose petals and other flowers from the tradition. On the label: harmonizing, feminine. Many people experience Rosa as gentle and warm, a rapé that touches the heart. The lowest strength in our collection, and therefore a nice first introduction.

Cacau – strength 4 out of 7

With wild cacao. On the label: warmth, embrace, root and heart. Many people use Cacau to ground themselves and feel connected to the earth beneath their feet. Nice for a quiet meditation.

Tsunu – strength 5 out of 7

Ash from the bark and branches of the Tsunu tree, with leaves from plants from the tradition. On the label: deeply grounding, energetic, balancing. Strong, yet still a good start. Kevin calls it "super good for going into meditation".

Murici – strength 5 out of 7

On the label: insight, centering, radiance. Many people experience Murici as centering. The mind becomes calmer, thoughts that go around are allowed to let go for a moment. Also a good start, with its own character.

This is experience, not a promise. Everyone experiences rapé differently.

The same rapé as in our bottles

A sample set is not a leftover batch for us. The bags contain the same fresh, superfine rapé as in the 7.7 and 15-gram bottles.

Everything is handmade by the Huni Kuin in Acre, Brazil. No machines. It is dried, pounded and sifted. The sun does the rest. During the work, they sing and pray.

Rapé you see elsewhere is often a bit coarser and grainier. Our rapé is superfine, almost powdery. That's how you can see how much handwork is involved. And because it is so fine, you need less of it.

Fresh from Acre

Almost every month a new shipment arrives, in small batches. Kevin does the final inspection.

Kevin has known the Huni Kuin for about eight years. He has daily contact with a Huni Kuin village in Acre, via WhatsApp and video calls. The rapé comes directly from them, without intermediaries. Going to the village is at the top of his list.

The Huni Kuin are also called Kaxinawá. They themselves choose Huni Kuin, "the True People". So do we.

How to use the sample set

Rapé is something you work with, not something you just take. Start consciously. Use one variety per session. That's how you really get to know each variety.

A logical order: start with the lowest strength and slowly work your way up. So Rosa, then Cacau, then Tsunu and Murici. Write down briefly after each session what you noticed. That way you will naturally see which variety suits you.

• Quantity: start with about the size of a pea per nostril. Build up slowly, over several sessions.
• How: you give yourself rapé with a kuripe, a V-shaped applicator. First breathe out completely.
• Order: in the tradition you start on the left (letting go) and then on the right (receiving).
• Then: close your eyes, breathe through your mouth and sit still for a moment. Let what comes, come.

Yes. The same fresh, superfine rapé, handmade by the Huni Kuin. Only the quantity is smaller.

Do I need a kuripe?

Yes. A kuripe is a V-shaped applicator with which you give yourself rapé. Don't have one yet? Send Kevin a message, then he will think along with you.

Can I choose the varieties myself?
